We got tired of rebuilding the same things
blockus started as a side project during a client sprint that ran three weeks over schedule — almost entirely because we were rebuilding pricing tables and hero sections we'd built a dozen times before. Instead of writing the same CSS grid for the fourteenth time, we started archiving every section we shipped.
By the end of that year the archive had grown to sixty-plus components, each battle-tested across real client projects. We stopped treating it as a side effect and started treating it as a product.
“The best component is the one you don't have to write. The second best is one you wrote once and never touch again.”
Today blockus ships with over 100 sections across 22 categories. Every block is written once to production quality — typed, accessible, and theme-aware — so you don't have to think about it twice.
We add new blocks every release cycle. The changelog is the roadmap. If a pattern keeps showing up in real products, it becomes a block.
