Terms of service

The short version: pay once, use the blocks in any product you ship, don't resell them, don't share your token. The long version, plus the boring parts about liability and jurisdiction, is below.

1. Acceptance of the terms

By creating an account or purchasing a plan on https://blockus.lndevui.com, you agree to these terms and to the License (see /license) and Privacy policy (see /privacy). If you don't agree, don't use blockus.

These terms form a contract between you and the operator of blockus. The operator is the data controller defined in the privacy policy.

2. The service

blockus is a paid catalog of production-ready React sections delivered through a shadcn registry. Free blocks are open to everyone; Pro blocks require an active plan and a personal API key tied to your account.

We may add, remove, refactor or rename blocks at any time. Existing customers keep access to all blocks released during their active plan.

3. Account

One account per email address. Sharing your login outside your plan's seat count (Solo = 1, Team = up to 10) is a material breach of these terms.

You are responsible for keeping your email and registry tokens secure. If you suspect a leak, revoke the token from /account/registry-token and generate a new one.

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity.

4. Payments

Plans are purchased one-time through Chariow. Access unlocks immediately on successful payment.

Prices are displayed in USD. Local taxes are added where applicable.

All sales are final. We do not issue refunds, partial credits or exchanges. If you are unsure whether blockus is right for you, try the free blocks first or reach out before paying.

5. Use restrictions

What you can do with the blocks themselves is covered in the License (/license). The rules below are about the service.

Don't scrape the registry, the catalog or any block listing in bulk. Use the public API (the shadcn CLI) at human / build-process volumes only.

Don't share, sell or transfer your registry token. Don't host a public proxy that re-exposes it.

Don't attempt to bypass the Pro gate (the /r/<id> route) or probe it for vulnerabilities outside of a responsible-disclosure process — write to us first if you find something.

6. Intellectual property

The blocks, the brand, the catalog, the documentation and the design system remain the intellectual property of Leonel Ngoya. The plan you purchased grants the usage rights described in the License — not ownership.

You own the product you build with the blocks (your customizations, your copy, your design). We claim no rights over what you ship.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability of the registry endpoint and the marketing site, but we do not guarantee 99.X% uptime. The blocks installed in your repository are local copies — a registry outage doesn't break your shipped product.

We may schedule maintenance windows or take parts of the service offline for upgrades. We will announce them when reasonably possible.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

blockus is provided as is and as available. We make no warranty, express or implied, about fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, security, accuracy or uninterrupted availability.

You are responsible for testing the blocks in your own stack before shipping them to your users. The fact that we ship them in production ourselves doesn't extend a warranty to your context.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to blockus is limited to the amount you paid for your plan in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including lost revenue, lost data, lost goodwill, or the cost of substitute services.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations. If yours doesn't, parts of this section may not apply to you.

10. Termination

You can stop using blockus at any time. To delete your account, contact us — your account and personal data are removed within 30 days, subject to legally-mandated retention.

We can terminate your access for material breach of these terms (e.g. redistributing the source, sharing tokens publicly, scraping). In that case, no refund is owed.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination — IP, limitation of liability, governing law — survive.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect product changes, legal evolutions or new processors. Material changes are announced at the top of this page; minor edits (typos, clarifications) are made silently.

Continued use of blockus after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the operator's country of registration. Any dispute that can't be resolved through good-faith discussion will be brought before the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

Before going to court, please write to leonelngoya@gmail.com — most issues are resolved in a single email exchange.
